EMPLOYEE PROCEDURES & ORIENTATION GUIDELINES

JOB ASSIGNMENTS

Speak directly with your Watson Dwyer Temporaries, Inc. (WDTI) Consultant or leave a voicemail, 24 hours a day, regarding any matter related to your employment:

Late arrivals to the job site or if you are unable to work a scheduled shift due to illness

The client ends/extends an assignment or approaches you regarding a full-time position

A problem develops between you and a co-worker or supervisor

The work required is beyond your capabilities

       Change of address/phone number

The rate of pay for specific assignments is based on the skill sets required. You may accept or decline any position offered. However, once you accept an assignment you are required to complete the duration of the assignment.

It is illegal to accept a permanent position without a written agreement between WDTI and the client company. Without this agreement, legal action may occur. All fees for permanent placement are paid by the client company and remain confidential. There is never any cost to you.

You are responsible for contacting your WDTI Consultant weekly regarding your availability for work. Failure to let us know that you are available for work will result in the assumption that you are not actively seeking employment.

ON THE JOB

Remember, you work for WDTI and as a contractor for the client to whom you are assigned. You must contact your WDTI Consultant one day in advance if you need to be excused from a day of work. This allows us the opportunity to find a replacement if necessary. We will notify the on-site supervisor. Documentation may be required within 24 hours of an absence to be excused.

Causes for immediate termination from your assignment and/or future temporary assignments and possible prosecution:

Failure to call in your absence will be considered a NO SHOW/NO CALL and result in an automatic termination

Any unexcused absence, excessive tardiness, or abuse of scheduled breaks

Voluntarily leaving an assignment before the appointed time or prior to the scheduled ending date

Use of intoxicants and/or non-prescribed drugs on an assignment at any time

Reporting to work under the influence or consuming alcohol or drugs on a job site

Physical and/or verbal abuse, including conduct considered sexual in nature

Forgery and/or any misrepresentation, including hours reported on time cards, or any other criminal conduct

TIMESHEETS

The workweek begins Monday and ends the following Sunday for WDTI payroll. You are responsible for submitting a timesheet online, in a timely manner, with the correct hours you have worked each week.

You must fill out an individual timesheet for every job to which you are assigned and obtain your on-site Supervisor’s signature. Without this signature, we cannot pay you. You are responsible to fill in and submit all timesheets to WDTI per the following instructions:

Use your personal email address on the weekly timesheet

Designate whether or not your assignment will continue

You will be paid on an hourly basis, rounded to the nearest quarter hour

Hours worked over 40 (forty) per week, per assignment, will be paid at time and one-half

Lunch periods and scheduled breaks are not considered paid time

We request that you submit your timesheet and request approval on Friday or on the last day of your assignment if that is prior to Friday. We must receive your completed timesheet in our office no later than 12:00 noon on Monday following the end of your workweek. TIMESHEETS RECEIVED AFTER 12:00 NOON ON MONDAY MAY NOT BE PROCESSED FOR PAYMENT THAT WEEK.

DIRECT DEPOSIT

Payroll is processed on Tuesday and funds for direct deposit are available in your account on Thursday. If there is a bank holiday in the current week, it's possible your funds will be available on the next day that banks are regularly scheduled to be open.

HOURLY PAY RATE

As an employee of WDTI, you are expected to complete your assignment as agreed. Recognizing that WDTI may not be able to collect fees in situations where temporary employees do not fulfill their obligations or duties your hourly pay rate will be limited to the minimum wage of the City of Chicago, County of Cook, or State of Illinois.
